Resident Evil: Retribution casting latest
The fifth Resident Evil movie is currently before the cameras. And the final pieces of the casting jigsaw are falling into place…
The continuing success of the Resident Evil movie franchise is showing no signs of slowing, and by this time next year, the fifth film in the series will have been released to capitalise on this. In fact, Resident Evil: Retribution is set for release next September, with Milla Jovovich again returning to star, and Paul W S Anderson directing (he helmed the first and fourth films in the series, too, of course).
Some new bits of casting information have filtered through regarding the latest film, with the first being that the role of Leon Kennedy has been sorted out. The character is set to be played by actor Johann Urb, who’s appeared in the likes of Roland Emmerich’s 2012, and the television show Eastwick.
Over on Milla Jovovich’s Twitter feed, meanwhile (not a bad place to check out if you want the latest on the film), she’s also confirmed the casting of the role of Ada Wong, too. Wong is set to be played by Li Bingbing, who’s appeared in the likes of The Forbidden Kingdom and 1911.
The film is set for release on September 14th next year, and we’ll keep you posted of further updates.
