Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

Burr Steers is set to start shooting the movie of Seth Grahame-Smith's Pride And Prejudice And Zombies later this month...

Since not long after the dawn of Den Of Geek many years ago, we seem to have been talking about a movie adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's Pride And Prejudice And Zombies. The novel is a reworking of the Jane Austen classic with a horror edge, and a film version has been mooted for some time. Now we learn, however, that it's definitely on, and shooting is set to start next month.

Burr Steers, the director of really strong films such as Igby Goes Down and 17 Again, is helming the movie. He's co-written the screenplay too, along with David O Russell.

The cast? Lily James, Sam Riley and Bella Heathcote have taken on the lead roles, and filming finally begins this September. That should pave the way for a release date in 2015. We'll keep you updated...
