Exclusive-ish! A whole bunch of very stylish new posters for Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes!

Given that the promotional campaign for Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes has been about the most impressive of the summer, it's a real pleasure to report that the movie itself more than measures up. Our review can be found right here

In the build up to the movie's UK release, on July 17th, we've now got a whole bunch of new, really rather special posters, which we're bringing you exclusively. Well, sort of exclusively. It's the internet. They were exclusive to us for a matter of seconds, but those seconds will have long gone by the time you scroll down to the bottom. Curses.

Nice posters though aren't they? And the film's really rather special...

Yeesh. Someone's having fun with the cutout filter on Photoshop, aren't they?

Sorry, but those posters are dreadful - the only decent one is the fourth one down.

I know nothing about photoshop, but I think the posters are really cool!

As far as design skills go, it's on about the same level as using 'Comic Sans' or 'Papyrus' fonts, or using the 'Lens Flare' filter - the mark of an amateur, and always looks tacky.

The fourth one down, while better, also shows signs of filter-abuse - 'Glowing Edges' I believe.

Even ignoring all that, they look like fan-created posters to me.

Yep - these might be the simplest thing in the world to create - I still like them. Sorry Tom, my ignorance of photoshop skills is, in this case, bliss.

The war paint on the ape faces works really well. As for the posters, they are OK. Nice design. Red and black makes a dramatic palette.
