New trailer for sci-fi blockbuster Oblivion
Tom Cruise returns to science fiction, and we've got the new trailer for Oblivion right here...
Say what you like about Tom Cruise, but his track record with science fiction really isn't bad at all. Minority Report in particular is a terrific movie (War Of The Worlds is a lot more divisive), and we're suitably looking forward to his next venture into the genre, Oblivion.
Directed by TRON: Legacy's Joseph Kosinski, and co-starring a cigar-chomping Morgan Freeman, Oblivion also features a fair whack of CG, but as this latest trailer shows, it's really not looking too bad at all.
Given that Cruise is coming off two films that performed less well at the box office than he's used to, Oblivion may not be a sure fire hit. But right now, we're really rather keen to watch it.
The film arrives on April 12th in the UK. And here's the new trailer.

I have no idea why I am looking forward to this. But I am.
looks good but perhaps the trailer is giving a bit too much away?
Sixty years? It looks more like six hundred or a thousand, unless the aliens are doing some very, very heavy terraforming. Enough to move continents in a short time.
Yes it is a strange feeling these days actually looking forward to a Tom Cruise movie...
Upside pyramids gates ,Phallic worship..end of civilisation, all seeing eye kill list drones, and the starring chief in charge of Crowley O.T.O Scientology , another illuminating blockbuster based on society as we know it today...looks quite good
