Doug Liman taking on Tony Scott action thriller?
Narco-Sub, once a project for the late Tony Scott, is heading for The Bourne Identity director Doug Liman it seems...
One of the projects that the late Tony Scott was attached to before his tragic death last year was an action thriller by the name of Narco-Sub. Get past the odd sounding name, and there may be a decent movie in this, not that we know too much about it.
It surrounds the narco-subs used in real life, which are apparently specially adapted vehicles that are used to smuggle drugs. You won't be surprised to hear that said vehicles are submersible. David Guggeneheim (Safe House) has penned a script around this, and the project has now been picked up by Doug Liman to direct.
Liman's past credits include Mr & Mrs Smith and The Bourne Identity, and he's directed next summer's Tom Cruise sci-fi movie, Edge Of Tomorrow. Liman is currently in talks regarding Narco-Sub, and it may turn out to be his next project. More news as we hear it.
