Josh Brolin's voice is joining the Marvel universe, as he's lending his tones to Thanos...

This story inevitably contains what's in the headline. There's also a very mild spoiler for Avengers 2.

Marvel has finally let the cat out of the proverbial bag (well, the cat's out of the proverbial bag anyway), and the identity of the mystery actor set to voice Thanos in James Gunn's Guardians Of The Galaxy has been revealed.

The voice in question belongs to Josh Brolin, although it seems we won't see him at any point. It's just his tones we're getting for this one.

Brolin is also set to voice the character in Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age Of Ultron, and The Wrap reports that Thanos is set to have "a more prominent role" in the new Avengers movie than he does in Guardians Of The Galaxy.

Guardians Of The Galaxy is set for release on July 31st in the UK.
