New trailer for sci-fi movie Lucy, with Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett Johansson takes the lead in Luc Besson's new sci-fi movie, Lucy. Here's the latest trailer...

Arriving in cinemas in August is a promising-looking sci-fi movie, by the name of Lucy. It stars Scarlett Johansson in the title role, a woman whose cerebral capacity is unlocked, who then uses her added powers to fight back against people who, er, aren't being very nice to her.

Morgan Freeman co-stars, with Luc Besson directing. And a new international trailer for the movie has landed. There's some new footage here, that's not been seen in the previous promos for the film. The trailer is in English, although it's also subtitled.

Lucy lands in the UK on August 22nd.

Looks like fun

What happened to "lower tummy". Dammit, I demand that be reinstated!

Not...sure on this one. I saw the trailer before Winter Soldier at the cinema and I'm really not sold, although I have liked some of Besson's work before.

Think this'll be a 'wait for the reviews' one for me.

Limitless + Fifth Element + Leon = Lucy
Not convinced. But I will see it, and I suspect I'll enjoy watching it

So, Limitless 2 basically. With a little bit of a Hanna rip off.

Luc Besson? Check
Scarlett Johansson? Check

I'm sold.

Very few films are completely standalone works. Every one has parent DNA in prior releases, but it's the way those elements are blended that decides whether or not the film is a success. I think this will be fun to watch, so colour me interested. :-)

Puce.

Meh.
