Kung Fu Panda 3 news round up
A new release date and some new talent join the voice cast for the upcoming Kung Fu Panda 3.
There's just a a few bits of news regarding Kung Fu Panda 3 that have emerged over the past day or so, so we're wrapping them up here in a nice little package. First up is the news that the film is moving to a December 23rd 2015 release date from the previously announced March 26th 2016, in the latest reshuffle of the DreamWorks release slate.
Next up is the announcement of a few nice additions to the voice cast for the film as Brian Cranston, Mads Mikkelsen and Rebel Wilson have all been confirmed for roles. Who they will play is unclear at this stage but they'll be joining the likes of Jack Black, Angelina Jolie and Seth Rogen.
Details on the plot are under wraps at this point but rumours suggest Po will be meeting his biological father and producer Guillermo del Toro has confirmed that the film will feature “the most formidable villain in the series.” It's a safe bet that Cranston or Mikkelsen will be providing the voice for that role then.
