Guillermo del Toro has been offering an update on his planned Justice League Dark project...

Guillermo del Toro was at the Los Angeles Times Hero Complex Festival on Saturday, and while he was there he provided an update on his Justice League Dark movie.

He revealed that the script has the team consisting of Constantine, Swamp Thing, Madame Xanadu, Deadman and Zantanna. He also said that there would be other characters in there, basically “everybody that doesn't feel like a repeat”, but didn't go into specifics as he wanted to avoid spoilers for the film.

He also mentioned that he has yet to receive the go ahead from Warner Brothers, “if they (Warner Brothers) like the script, I'll do it; if not...”. In theory, this could be another project of del Toro's that falls by the wayside, although we dearly hope not. If this summer's Pacific Rim is the hit that they're hoping it will be they may be willing to allow him to make the film as he wants.

At the panel a re-worked trailer for Pacific Rim was shown, which reportedly didn't feature a great deal of footage different from the one shown at Wonder Con, aside from Charlie Day being more prominent in this one. del Toro also spoke of his adaptation of Naoki Urasawa's Manga Monster, revealing that he submitted the script for the pilot last week to the studio, and that it will follow the 18 volume source very closely.

More on all of the above when it's available.
