Jurassic Park 4 is getting a bit of help from Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes...

A project that continues to live on, even if there'd been little sign of it getting closer to the screen, there's been a bit of fresh news about the planned Jurassic Park 4. The last we'd heard of the film was at the end of last year, when Steven Spielberg (who won't be directing) finally gave the confirmation that the movie was happening, and was on his schedule. However, since then, things have been quiet again. Until now, at least.

Deadline is now reporting that a pair of screenwriters have been hired to take a new stab at the film, and they sound like an intelligent choice, too. Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver have been hired, and given the job they did on Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes - which isn't a million miles away in terms of subject matter - this has to be classed as pleasing news.

There's no time schedule that we know of at the moment, but this still has to be classed as a big step in the right direction. In the meantime, for its 20th birthday next summer, the original Jurassic Park is, if you haven't heard, getting a 3D re-release...
