Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis headling Jupiter Ascending, from the Wachowskis. Here's a new trailer...

Warner Bros continues to put its might behind standalone science fiction blockbusters. Its co-production with Legendary, Godzilla, has already hit big, and Tom Cruise vehicle Edge Of Tomorrow is due next. But we wonder if the surprise of the summer may yet be this July's Jupiter Ascending, which is coming our way from the Wachowskis.

The movie stars Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis, and a new trailer has popped up online in France, which has some extra material in it that's not been seen before. Take a look and see what you reckon. Jupiter Ascending, meanwhile, is scheduled for UK release on July 25th.

Shall we get it out of the way now? I'd like to open the book for when Sean Bean snuffs it with a time of 1hr 13mins. Any takers?

Ooooh! Good shout but I'm gonna go with 51 mins, he ain't making it off that quaint wee farm.

I'll go with 102 minutes and a rather unspectacular death.

87 minutes, around the time the 3D makes you go cross-eyed.

One does not simply walk off the quaint wee farm so I'll give him an extra 20 mins over that.

Can I go with "we see his lifeless body suddenly open its eyes / roll the credits" or some such nonsense to get people watching JA2 or 3

Solar Winter is Coming

All depends when he gives his big pep talk should be about 30 secs after he's finished. Using the "law of Bean" divided by the "death of mentor" rule

Killed without warning in a mid-credits stinger?

Killed without warning in a mid-credits stinger? =)

3 minutes after t' opening credits....... Pick up t' check, go home, book t' next job.

Just like with the first trailer I'm getting strong vibes of Dune and the scifi-comics of Moebius.

If only it was a Wachowski-directed 'Dune' adaptation... then I'd actually be excited to see this, but it's not so I'm not!

Oh, he ain't walking, he's being carried off for sure, feet first. Probably by the crazy chick wi the blue dreads on the Star Wars speeder.
