More casting news for new James Bond film, Skyfall
A new face joins Daniel Craig and the cast of the new 007 movie, Skyfall…
Filming may be well underway on the upcoming James Bond adventure, Skyfall, but there’s still a bit of time for a brand new piece of casting news.
Notwithstanding the fact that the film has to be finished and in British cinemas by the end of October, there’s still been time to add Tonia Sotiropoulou to the movie. She’s a Greek actress who, according to MI6-HQ, is set to play Bond’s girlfriend in the new film.
Our guess is that she won’t last too long (although that’s speculation on our part, rather than giving any of the game away). She’s filming a couple of scenes, starting later this month, and had originally auditioned for the role taken by Berenice Marlohe.
This next part features a spoiler for the opening of the film, so if you don’t want to read it, then feel free to jump to another story.
Okay. Sotiropoulou has revealed what’s apparently the opening scene of the new film. Skyfall opens, apparently, in Istanbul, where Bond is smuggled, as he’s assumed to be dead. There’s a similarity to You Only Live Twice in the way that the movie is supposed to open.
More news on Skyfall as we get it. Don’t be surprised to see a trailer debut alongside one of Sony’s big summer blockbusters, either…
