Jessica Chastain is joining Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway in Christopher Nolan's new film, Interstellar...

Christopher Nolan is assembling an impressive cast for his first post-Batman feature, Interstellar. The movie, which is about an interstellar voyage to the very edges of our scientific knowledge, is based on a treatment by Jonathan Nolan, that Christopher Nolan has rewritten. And already on board were Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway.

Now it seems as though Nolan is recruiting Jessica Chastain for the movie too. She is in negotiations, it's being reported, to play the third lead role in the film, although inevitably, further details are some way away.

Interstellar is set for release in November 2014. We will, of course, keep you posted on it.

I am really looking forward to this.

The Dark Knight Trilogy was brilliantly conceived and realized and deeply satisfying.

And I love Inception.

I love the idea that Nolan is in the middle of a Prestige trilogy.

The Prestige (film) is the first of the trilogy, as the Pledge. It sets a world of professionalism being thrown out of place by emotional involvement, of stories within stories and journals within journals, of one man being disguised as another.

Inception is the second of the trilogy, as the Turn. It takes that concept and turns it in on itself, making it into something special. Stories within stories turns into dreams within dreams, literally. Professionalism being trumped by emotional involvement becomes a man being haunted and hunted by his past love, literally. One man disguised as another becomes one man taking another person's appearance, literally.

Interstellar... Hmmm. Maybe this is Nolan's masterpiece, his Prestige?

agreed never thought of it like this
