There's no sign of Indiana Jones 5 happening, but if it does, you can sign Harrison Ford up...

Since Disney bought up LucasFilm, effectively confirming George Lucas' retirement from big budget movies, news of Indiana Jones 5 has pretty much fizzled out. Steven Spielberg has declared his disinterest in making more action movies, Lucas seems uninvolved - the chances of Indiana Jones 5 happening are thus on the slight side.

But one man still happy to answer questions about the film is Harrison Ford, and he's more than keen to sign up again should the project come to fruition. Chatting to Metro, Ford said that "I don't think that there is any barrier to Indiana Jones being an old fart", adding that "I'm old enough that I don't need Connery anymore. I'm old enough to play my own father".

So would he do Indiana Jones 5? "In a New York minute", he said.

A long shot it remains, and few fans seem keen for more Indiana Jones adventures after the last one. But it's still just about a project with a flicker of life to it...

I don't know, I think time will be kinder to the Crystal Skull. We avoided Nazis (yet again, which is part of what makes Crusade get worse over time I think), tried some stuff that worked, some that didn't, and it was still a new Indy movie. Liked it.
I'd put Crystal Skull as #2 with Crusade as #3 and Doom as #4.

Having a magic glass (the Holy Grail in the Last Crusade) is no stranger than a UFO going up into the Space between Spaces in my view!
