Will Smith set for Independence Day 2 after all?
Independence Day 2 may move back to summer 2016, and it may now have Will Smith in it after all...
With White House Down arriving in UK cinemas at last next week, director Roland Emmerich has been back doing interview for his movie, and it seems there may have been some developments where his next project, Independence Day 2 is concerned.
The film is set to shoot early next year, and was intended for release in 2015. But that plan may well have changed. In a new interview, Emmerich has revealed that at the moment, the film is due "probably right now as it looks, 16".
But it may be that, contrary to how things were a few months back (before the release of After Earth), Will Smith may be returning for the film. "It's changing every month", Emmerich said. "Will Smith didn't want to it at first, but now, we have a meeting planned".
That's still some way from him agreeing to do it, but conversely, it's no longer a flat-out no. We'll keep you posted...
