Tom Hiddleston

Tom Hiddleston has signed up to play Hank Williams, in a biopic of the country singer's life...

Any week that ends with some fresh Tom Hiddleston movie news is a good week by our standards. Hiddleston has already completed his role in Guillermo del Toro's upcoming horror Crimson Peak, and he's set to star in Ben Wheatley's adaptation of J G Ballard's High Rise.

And now we learn he's set to take the lead role - and do a bit of singing too - in the planned biopic of Hank Williams. The film is going by the name of I Saw The Light, with Marc Abraham writing and directing. Hiddleston will take on the role of one of country music's most influential figures, who also battled spina bifida in his short life.

We've no word on a start date for the film, but it sounds like all the pieces are in place to get going sooner rather than later...

THAT AIN'T NO HANK WILLIAMS SONG!!!

He sang great in the Disney Pirate Fairy Movie.

I love Tom, he's adorable, his impersonations rock and he's an awesome dancer. And he can pull off American accent. But he sucks at singing.
Plus, I had no idea Hank Williams died so young. Sad :(
