Thomas Kretschmann is set to go from Avengers 2 to Agent 47, as he's cast as a villain in the new Hitman movie...

The currently-shooting reboot of the Hitman movie franchise, Agent 47, already has Rupert Friend, Zachary Quinto and Hannah Ware on board. But a new face has joined the cast of the movie.

Thomas Kretschmann, who is playing Baron Wolfgang von Strucker in Joss Whedon's upcoming Avengers: Age Of Ultron (and reprising the character in at least one future Marvel movie too) will be playing Le Clerq in Agent 47. He's the chairman of Syndicate International, an organisation that's trying to create an army of agents. Sounds like a happy place to work.

Aleksander Bach is directing the new film, for which production is in Germany at the moment. We're expecting a release in 2015, although this hasn't been confirmed.
