The director of Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy has been chatting about the film, and the aliens Marvel can't use...

And we've got yet more for you on Guardians of the Galaxy here (following the trailer, the trailer analysis, the poster and the five character promo videos).

Because now, director James Gunn has been chatting to the Pointless Podcast, and amongst the topics of discussion was the alien species used in the film. "Marvel only partially owns Skrulls", Gunn revealed, adding that "and also for the record, we don't own the Badoon either. So people were asking why we have the Sakaaran in the film, we don't own the Badoon". So there you have it.

Gunn went on to discuss Rocket Racoon. "My brother Sean Gunn wore a little green suit and waddled around and he acted out Rocket", he said. "I think all of the guys will attest to the fact, and they have in all their interviews, that he was a great part of the team, and it really was Zoe, Dave, Chris and Sean who sort of like created the energy that people will see in the movie between these four characters, who are usually at odds and sometimes find common ground. Sean was a big part of that energy and creating that, not only was he doing a great job protecting himself, but also gave the other actors something to work off of so they're not working with a tennis ball".

Gunn also went on to say that those waiting to hear Bradley Cooper voicing the character "will be hearing Rocket speak in something very, very soon". So soon, in fact, that you can click on the five character promo videos link and hear his tones there.

Guardians Of The Galaxy, as we've typed out several times this week, is released on August 1st 2014.
