Production wraps on Guardians Of The Galaxy
Marvel and James Gunn's Guardians Of The Galaxy finishes principal photography. Don't expect a trailer just yet though...
At the point of writing, Guardians Of The Galaxy is the third Marvel movie in differing stages of production that's set to arrive in cinemas. But for us and many, it's comfortably the one we're most looking forward to.
After all, Guardians Of The Galaxy, which will follow Thor: The Dark World (due later this month in the UK) and Captain America: The Winter Soldier (due next April) into cinemas feels like a full on gamble. The material is unfamiliar to many, and the choice of James Gunn to direct is both welcome and leftfield.
Gunn has now confirmed that principal photography on Guardians Of The Galaxy has wrapped, after 83 days of shooting (mainly in the UK). That said, the speculation that a trailer may be imminent is just that at the moment. As Gunn noted on his Facebook feed, "people pleading for a *gotg trailer will be blocked and then, possibly, murdered". He added that it was "a bit harsh, I know, but I don't make the rules".
Given that we've not yet had a trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, we're more likely to see a promo for that - possibly attached to Thor: The Dark World - than anything for Guardians Of The Galaxy just yet. But it's the latter that'll be the tougher sell to the wider audience, so don't be surprised if we get something this side of Christmas.
