First trailer for the fabulous-looking Grabbers

An Irish horror-comedy coming to cinemas in the weeks ahead, you might just want to make some time in your life for Grabbers...

A film we covered in our recent preview of upcoming British (and Irish) movies worth keeping an eye on is Grabbers. Starring Richard Coyle (from the mighty Coupling) and Russell Tovey, Grabbers is a grand looking Irish horror comedy, which is arriving in cinemas from 10th August. That's the date of its Irish release: we're hoping it won't be too long before it makes it to the UK, as advance word of mouth on this one is really strong.

To give you a flavour as to what to expect, a trailer for Grabbers has now been released, and you can see it right here. One to watch out for, this...

this looks awesome.

it does. great cast too. i want to be in the monster movie where you need to be drunk to survive. shades of 'to the winchester'

I was fortunate enough to see this at the Edinburgh Film Festival this year. There will be comparisons with 'Shaun of the Dead' but that's no bad thing as they are both excellent comedies with 'monsters' in.

The highest praise I can give? It made me laugh in all the wrong places and I would gladly recommend it to anyone but especially my Irish father and to my siblings too.

Sorry to be THAT guy, but the guy's name is Richard Coyle. Damn Coupling burned on my mind :)

Brilliant. A Lovecraftian horror comedy.

Hah, me too. I'd see the movie for him alone. :-)

This could make for an awesome 'drinking game' movie

Hideous colour grading
