Trailer lands for Ghostbusters' 30th anniversary re-release

Let the party begin: here's the trailer for the cinema re-release of Ghostbusters...

Ghostbusters will be celebrating its 30th anniversary in some style, with Sony rolling the film back out into cinemas, before unleashing a new Blu-ray, and a maiden Blu-ray of Ghostbusters II. It's enough to distract everyone from Ghostbusters 3 for a bit, too.

The film rolls back out into cinemas on August 29th in the US, and in the UK, we're getting it for one day, on August 28th. The new disc releases follow the week after.

To mark the occasion? Sony has put a celebratory trailer together. And you can see it right here...

My hat goes off to whoever put that trailer together. Spot on.

And what exactly are you a Dr of?

"Nobody steps on a Church in my Town!"

"Hey.......Dean Yeagar!"

Whatever I'm doing August 28th... CANCEL IT!

"We've been going about this all wrong. This Mr. Stay Puft okay! He's a sailor, he's in New York... we get this guy laid, we won't have any trouble!"

Really? I thought it was terrible.

Cut off lines, didn't build excitement... average at best.

This was only re-released at cinemas a few years ago. Cannot remember why though.

"But the kids love us..."

This is out in the US the day after I move to New York. Looks like I've got my first cinema trip sorted!

"Coupla wavey lines."

and news just in the theatrical re-release will hit the
English shores in october the 28th according to the
free press paper metro that the the news broke to them from
park circus film ventures in Glasgow on earlier Friday morning
just like back in 2011 the last time it was screened so check
local cinema press for details .

never loved this as much as some other films from the same era, but i can't help but get excited for a big screen re-release. I like any amazing repertory.

I have never been more jealous of anyone in my entire life.

NY is the best city I have ever been to and Ghostbusters is one of my favourite films of all time.

I know I don't know you, but I hate you a bit.

(on a serious note, have a cracking time!)

I've been to the US maybe three times and I've only ever been to Chicago and Nashville. I feel like I'll probably never get bored.

(and thanks!)

Whoa whoa whoa!

You have never even been, and now you get to move there?

Wow, I hate you ever more now ;-)

Little tip, head to Jimmy's Corner near Times Sq. It was by far the best little dive bar I found while I was there. No tourists, and owned by an ex pro boxer (Jimmy Glen) who even works there and will most likely chat to you with stories of when he fought Muhammed Ali, quality bloke. No tourists there either.

Yeah, we've got two dogs so we have to get the boat too. Its gonna be crazy going past the Statue of Liberty as the sun comes up! And thanks for the tip, I'll definitely have to check it out. I've heard about a place called Two Bits, which is a dive bar-come-arcade - dying to check that place out!
