Fast & Furious 7 shoot complete, slight release date change
Filming has finally finished on Fast & Furious 7, and Universal has nudged its release date forward...
It would be fair to say that Fast & Furious 7 has been one of the bumpiest and most troubled blockbuster productions of recent years, a film that right through to its release will be dominated by the loss of Paul Walker.
Walker died last November, and his work in Fast & Furious 7 has been completed by his brothers, and by technical trickery. The film had originally been set for release on July 11th this year, but as the production was reorganised, Universal bumped it back to April 10th 2015.
Now we hear that production has finally wrapped on the film, and that James Wan can now take the film into the edit suite to lock down his final cut. Furthermore, Variety is reporting that Universal has moved the release date of the film forward a week. Fast & Furious 7 will now be in cinemas on April 3rd 2015.
Universal is still likely to have plans for further Fast & Furious movies. We'll be finding out about those in due course, we suspect.
