Fast And Furious

Lucas Black signs back up to the Fast & Furious series, as reports suggest Universal is already planning Fast & Furious 8 and 9...

As we reported yesterday, work is now underway on filming Fast & Furious 7, with James Wan (The Conjuring, Insidious) in the director's chair. Filming has only been going a day or two, so there's time for some casting news. Which is coincidental, because we just happen to have some.

And it's this: Lucas Black will be returning for Fast & Furious 7. He played the role of Sean Boswell in The Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift, and he's back for the new movie. It's a much bigger franchise than when he last appeared in it.

It won't be the last we see of the character of Sean Boswell either. Reports suggest that Lucas Black has a contract that will also cover Fast & Furious 8 and Fast & Furious 9. The two further movies haven't been confirmed by Universal, but it's hardly a surprise that it's aggressively pressing ahead with them. At this rate, it's going to be a bloody big boxset in about ten years' time.

As we hear more, we'll let you know...

My lord, who isn't in this movie?
Apart from me.

I'm in it!

Well, I say I'm not in it, there's still time for the call...

A cast and crew list of 7 billion people. I'd hate to sit through a credits crawl to see a teaser for the next movie...

I'm Dwayne the Rock Jackson. I might not be in the credits..

Yes, very happy Lucas Black is returning. He was really good in Tokyo Drift and it will be great to see what he does to 'avenge' his mate.

Doesn't Tokyo drift end with Sean about to race Dom?? Would be great if the film picked up from there, would fit nicely into them meeting for the first time and talking about who REALLY killed Han.

Jesus, these films are just going from strength to strength!!

I just love how well these films use their own mythology and characters. I mean who would ever have seen characters from 2 Fast returning in Fast 5. Or revisiting the events of Tokyo Drift in Fast 6. No other franchise utilises it's own past as well as this, taking something mediocre and making it matter.

but he isnt hot anymore. XD

I don't think Dwayne Jackson has been in it before so i don't know why you would be now :D

I'm sure there is a part for you. I will be cast as traffic cone #42. It's my big break!

Damn. I read for that part!

For being the only person that hasn't watched part 6 yet?
