Star Trek: Kirk, Spock and Uhura get into character
Martin Anderson
The first pictures of the Star Trek principals have been made available via a poster for Comicon...
Pictures of Chris Pine (Kirk), Zachary Quinto (Spock), Zoe Saldana (Uhura) and Eric Bana (Nero) in their Star Trek guises have been tantalisingly released in posters for Comicon, although no other Star Trek material will be made available at the San Francisco event next week beginning July 24th.
In terms of fidelity, Quinto's spock looks a remarkable doppelganger for Leonard Nimoy, whilst Chris Pine gets into full Kirk seduction mode with a brooding, burning stare to camera. Saldana's Uhura inspires less déjà vu whilst Bana is unrecognisable as the Romulan villain Nero.
The four posters comprising one larger 'one sheet' will be made available to fans, but you'll only get one constituent poster each. The 12 months of torment and teasing begins here...

Re: Star Trek: Kirk, Spock and Uhura get into characterOn any other day of the year I would be head over heels with geeky joy at these.. but the Watchmen trailer is out and in the Top Trumps of geekdom Alan Moore's masterpiece beats Gene Roddenberry. | |
Re: Star Trek: Kirk, Spock and Uhura get into characterI've asked this question before, didn't they try this with Babylon 5 and didn't the creators have the good sense not to do it? It's like, Melros Place... but in space. |
