Chuck Norris and John Travolta joining The Expendables 2?
Van Damme appears to be locked, and now it seems that Chuck Norris and John Travolta are joining Stallone’s The Expendables, as well...
The sequel to The Expendables currently has a release date of August 2012, and with that in mind, Sylvester Stallone will be getting his gang of action beefcakes together for production shortly.
But who will the new recruits be, joining the likes of Stallone, Bruce Willis, Jet Li, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham and Mickey Rourke?
Well, according to Novinte.com, we can first of all expect Jean-Claude Van Damme to be lining up for the film, as had been expected. Joining him also looks to be Chuck Norris.
And the third new name? Er, that’d be John Travolta, a surprising choice, whose name hadn’t been linked with the project before.
We’ve no problem with Travolta as an action star, and if there’s a dance sequence in the movie, expect him to put everyone else to shame. His involvement, and that of Norris, was revealed by David Varod, the CEO of NU Boyana studios in Bulgaria, where the film is set to be shot. Simon West, of Con Air fame, is directing.
The shoot is set to begin this coming September, and as we get more news on it, we’ll bring it your way.
