Untitled Christopher Nolan film set for 2017
Christopher Nolan's first movie since Interstellar is landing in summer 2017...
Warner Bros has added another film to its slate of pictures for 2017 - and even though it's unclear what this one is called, it's already caused something of a stir.
That's because the project is currently going under the name 'Untitled Christopher Nolan Film', and it's been scheduled for July 21st 2017. In the US, that will see it open on the same weekend as Pitch Perfect 3, and Luc Besson's sci-fi epic Valerian. War Of The Planet Of The Apes is out the week before, and the new Spider-Man film the week after.
It's Nolan's first film since Interstellar grossed over $650m at the global box office, and inevitably, there's been some speculation as to whether the mystery film would be a comic book movie. We'd genuinely be hugely surprised if it is, though, and certainly the chatter that Nolan might be directing a standalone Batman movie seems wide of the mark.
We do know that he apparently completed the screenplay for the movie, whatever it may be, earlier this summer.
We wait and see. That fact that the film is a high summer release suggests it won't be a cheap one, and also that Nolan has something of a spectacle up his sleeve. More as we hear it...
