Arnold Schwarzenegger's Breacher takes shape
Casting news and a name change for David Ayers' upcoming Arnold Schwarzenegger vehicle, which we're now calling Breacher...
Arnold Schwarzenegger has wasted little time getting back to making movies, now that his political days are over. He's got The Expendables 2 arriving in a few weeks, and that's set to be followed by The Tomb, co-starring Sylvester Stallone. And he's also shot Last Stand, for director Kim Ji-woon, which is heading to cinemas next year.
And he's now ramping up his next project, too. It was originally called Ten, but it's just changed its name to Breacher, and the film will see Schwarzenegger star alongside Terminator: Salvation star Sam Worthington.
The film has been written by Skip Woods (who has penned the currently-shooting fifth Die Hard movie, amongst others), and David Ayers is directing. And The Hollywood Reporter has broken the news that both Terrence Howard and Dawn Olivieri are joining the cast.
Breacher follows a DEA task force, whose job is to deal with the world's most deadly drug cartels. Only this time, the DEA team has been helping itself to some of the spoils.
Breacher is set to film this year, we suspect, but with two big Arnie movies already lined up for 2013 (who does he think he is? Jason Statham?), its release may push to 2014.
