Wesley Snipes reportedly offered a return to Blade
Could Blade be returning? A new report suggests that an offer has now been made to Wesley Snipes to reprise the role...
The Expendables III may not have been the raging success that its makers were hoping it would be (courtesy of a muted PG-13 rating and a well-reported internet leak), but it did mark the return of Wesley Snipes to the big screen. Snipes had been, er, 'otherwise engaged' for a couple of years, but now he's out of prison, he's clearly keen to get cracking with a few more movies.
What's more, he might be landing a decent payday to reprise arguably his most successful role (Demolition Man aside, natch). The New York Daily News is reporting that Snipes has been offered $3m and a cut of the profits to reprise the role of Blade in a new sequel. This follows murmurings of a new Blade film in the weeks before.
We know no more about the project than that at the moment, but will keep you posted. If he does reprise the role, we wonder if he'll start signing Post-it notes in character again?
