Stan Lee confirms Marvel working on a Black Panther movie

Marvel appears to be definitely working on a Black Panther movie. At least that's what Stan Lee says...

With a raft of release dates confirmed through to 2019, albeit most of them without a named movie attached yet, Marvel Studios has no shortage of balls to juggle. It's moving its output up to three films a year from 2017 as well, and it's looking increasingly likely that one of the projects it's earmarking for release is the long-suggested Black Panther film.

Stan Lee, for one, says that he's happening. And you might just suspect that he has some insider access on such things.

Chatting at Fan Expo Canada late last week, Lee told the crowd that a Black Widow movie is likely, "because eventually all the superheroes are going to have their own movies". He then confirmed that "they are already working on Ant-Man, Doctor Strange and the Black Panther, and there are others I am not allowed to talk about".

Inevitably, no further information was forthcoming, and there's been no confirmation from Marvel Studios. But it does seem to be a case of 'when' rather than 'if' where a Black Panther film is concerned.
