Batman Vs Superman to film this weekend
The first scenes of Zack Snyder's Batman Vs Superman are set to be filmed this coming weekend. Details here...
We're still some way off the formal start of production on Zack Snyder's eagerly-awaited Batman Vs Superman movie, which remains untitled. However, Snyder is getting a few early shots in the proverbial can this weekend, as it's been revealed that some early filming is set to take place.
The work is set to be done at East Los Angeles College, at half time during a football game (we presume the US version, rather than a kickabout with some jumpers on the ground for goalposts) on October 19th. In the break, some footage of a game taking place between Gotham City University and Metropolis State University will be shot.
According to a Warner Bros press release, the first 2,000 people who sit in the filming area at the game will get a T-shirt designed by Zack Snyder. And Gotham City University play in black and gold. Thought you'd want to know that.
Three takes of three plays will be shot, with actor and crowd reactions being filmed. We're intrigued as to just which actors will be there - might Henry Cavill be throwing the ball at some stage? We'll find that out at the weekend.
The rest of the Batman Vs Superman production isn't expected to start filming until next year. And if the football scenes don't work out, they're all welcome over in the UK for a game of cricket instead. We're happy to check if Halesowen Cricket Club is free?
