Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice casting latest

Scoot McNairy is the latest to sign up to Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel follow-up. But as who?

With the shoot of Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice well underway, a fresh piece of casting news has come to light. Scoot McNairy, who gave great performances in Gareth Edwards' Monsters, Andrew Dominik's Killing Them Softly and Ben Affleck's Argo, has joined the film in an unspecified role.

Still, just because the role is unspecified, it doesn't mean that some guessing games haven't been going on. Either Nightwing or The Flash have been suggested thus far.

The film heads into cinemas on May 6th 2016, so it may be we've got quite a long time before we find out for certin who McNairy is played. More as we get it, though.

METALLO!!!!! John Corbin.

I'd believe him as either Nightwing of The Flash. Still, he might be neither. In that picture, he looks like Jimmy Olsen. Too bad that role's already filled ... and by ... a lady!

I know the Flash series has yet to air. Could be terrible, could be awesome. Hoping for the latter. But I hope this chap isn't cast as the Flash. Really want them to use Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin, tie everything together, like Marvel managed with Agents of Sheild and Cap 2, but more so.

Or Maxwell Lord

He looks the part to be a decent Riddler...

Yep, I too hope they tie it all together. I doubt they will though. :-(

He could be "Receptionist No.2" in the Lex Corp building

The way they're adding cast members he's going to end up being Supermans housekeeper at this rate.

The way things are going probably another super hero. In a film with more super heroes than normal people it seems.

Sucks. If marvel can do it, why can't DC?

Great actor

Wonder Twins Powers Activate!

I think it is more of a studio issue than DC themselves. Im pretty sure i read in and interview the Arrow production team want to keep themselves distanced and independent.

That's reasonable.

Still sucks.

Too many new characters being introduced too quickly. Marvel has worked because they've done it gradually. Too many new characters will just confuse non-hardcore fans. Agree on using Gustin & Amell though, it would also help viewing figures for the TV series surely.

You make a very good point, however we don't know who he is yet. He could be Perry White's PA or Lois Lane's dry cleaner. From the way this film is going though they will probably just make him the Martian man hunter or Super girl.

Very true, this could end up being a nothing casting. But even without him being a major character, they're still introducing too many. I really want this to work, but I can't help feeling they're rushing it too much. Sincerely hope I'm proven wrong.

The one thing I keep wondering about is Superman! Where does he fit into all this?

It does all scream "We just want to throw everyone in together and prepare for Justice League". To be honest, I expected them to rename this film Justice League and that Batman vs. Superman was a working title. Everything seems too rushed. On the plus side, expectations are low, so perhaps it'll end up being a pleasant surprise.

Why though? It seems like a real missed opportunity to get some momentum.

The why i cant remember what they said if i ever fine the article again ill let you know. Yes does suck in that i fully agree with you.
