First full Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa trailer

Trailer Louisa Mellor 13 Jun 2013 - 09:30

Here's the full trailer for the action movie event of the summer, Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa...

"I am siege-face"

Chat show host, the corporate face of Hamiltons Water Breaks, North Norfolk radio broadcaster... the career of Alan Partridge boasts many gems, and now we can add siege negotiator to that list.

The character's first feature film, directed by Father Ted's Declan Lowney and written by Steve Coogan, Peter Baynham, and Armando Iannucci, promises to give the UK a much-needed something to smile about in this bleak, cloud-ridden summer.

Take a look at the first full trailer below (and if you don't then spend the entire month of August wearing an "I am siege-face" t-shirt, you're missing out).

Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa opens in the UK on the 7th of August.

Don't get me wrong, I love Alan Partridge but, from the trailer, it looks distinctly average. At this point, I look forward to watching it solely for the presence of the mighty Colm Meaney.

This is going to be fantastic.

Is this Airheads with Brendan Fraser? Still going tho, love Alan.

An Alan Partridge movie? Welcome to big school!
Well that trailer sold it for me!
The only thing I worry about is that they didn't use all the funny moments.

One line sold it for me, "I am Siege Face".

This looks hilarious. I hope it turns out to be.

Again MSN trailer video crashes Firefox browser.

This almost sounds like its an advert.

But it's not. It's not an advert.

Looks brilliant... Thats was soft-rock, cocaine enthusiast Fleetwood Mac.

"I am Siege Face."

This is going to be The Inbetweeners Movie again. And that's a very good thing.

What's happened to his haggard old face, wrinkles around his eyes and greying hair? Surely North Norfolk Digital doesn't pay enough to have that much Botox and Regain?

I think it may be the opposite, I mean they only showed glimpses of Lynn and Michael, I bet there are some great quotes in the film that we'll have to wait and see! Can't wait.

That's what I mean. The trailer had a couple of funny moments and great one liners, but I hope that's not all of them and they've managed to recapture the old magic!

Still think he should have gone with Gunbird or Chap of Steel.

He must be paid reasonably well. He spent 6 months in a Travel Tavern, and had a house built while living in a very spacious mobile domicile on the same premises. North Norfolk Digitals premier attraction would absolutely pay for Botox so he's always ready for the BBC when they need him.

C'mon, we're better than that.

Colossal Velocity is the best title for anything, ever.

looks rubbish tbh, there was never any need for a film, just do another series, nice to see colm meaney though

Always found jokes involving Michael irritating, but those with Lynn are usually brilliant. "It looks like a photograph of an explosion."

Do you have another seige to go to? .... Back of the net!

"who do you think yooou are? "

That was a good show.

Should be well worth checking out.

The american trailer is awful, not one good clip, but this bodes a lot better in terms of possibly being funny. I'm still not sure if its worth purchasing as it seems Coogan hasn't been able to recreate the Partridge personality exactly, so it may not feel the same - the most insecure Alan (from series 1 in the travel tavern) is still likely the best one..

they had to recreate him for an american audience lol
