New trailer for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is just over three weeks away. And here's the latest trailer for it...

Arriving in three weeks in cinemas comes the film of Seth Grahame-Smith's book, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. It's pretty different in tone and flavour from virtually every other big film this summer, which immediately marks it as something of a gamble. But that's no bad thing in itself.

The movie has been produced by Tim Burton, and directed by Wanted helmer Timur Bekmambetov, with Seth Grahame-Smith also penning the screenplay. And the reason you're here? Well, a brand new trailer for it has just arrived. Take a look, and see what you think...

Meh. Can't say I'm super-excited for this one. And is it just me, or did the CGI look terrible?

I think there is great potential for a sequel. How about JFK and Nixon; the Zombie killers. The one-liners are already self-written, you could have JFK say, "we kill zombies and do all the other things, not because they are easy but because they are HARD!"
Nixon could come out with, "I am not a croak, I am a zombie hunter."

i can't get excited about this at all and feel like it was a waste of Timur Bekmambetov.  the trailer didn't look  great either.  overcompensating for the one line premise by pronmising wall to wall action--which gets relentless and tedious.  overall the trailer made me think of Van Helsing.  definitely not a good sign.

and i just realised i have hopped over to this article from the tetris spoof, which played so straight.  this trailer could just as easily have been the spoof.  that would make more sense than it being a real film.

It's also going out into a very full box-office this summer and it looks like it was pricey to make.
