Robert Rodriguez has made a big showing for his movie adaptation of Red Sonja at Comic-Con in San Diego, even distributing publicity material showing girlfriend/Sonja-lead Rose McGowan in the hyperborean heroine's trademark skimpy chain-mail.
Rodriguez will not be directing the film due to other commitments, but has promised to be a very 'hands-on' producer as he hands the reins over to director Douglas Aarniokoski, previously a second-unit director on films such as Resident Evil: Extinction and Once Upon A Time In Mexico, as well as the recently-completed Tekken.
