New Bond film named: Quantum Of Solace
Simon Brew
You read that right: Bond 22 has its name...
Published on Jan 24, 2008
The original speculation was that Bond 22 would be called simply 007.
It isn't.
Instead, it's called Quantum Of Solace.
Quantum Of Solace is actually an Ian Fleming short spy story that had Bond making only a fleeting appearance. There's no action in it, it's not a Bond story per se, which leads us to think that they've just nicked the title.
Quantum Of Solace is out in November 2008.
(And if you think the title is stupid, we've found plenty of worse ones here...)

That is, quite frankly, the shittest title I've ever heard.

Sounds more like a Stephen Hawking blog.

Sounds exactly like a Marc Forster title to me... which makes me very happy, as he is awesome and should be given as much slack as possible to make his this movie his own.
Every Bond movie of the last 15-odd years, apart from Casino Royale, has failed because the directors only get the first 3/4 and then have to hand it over to being 'a bond movie', rather than 'a good movie with Bond in it'.
I think the title is great in itself, by the way...
