Howard The Duck: on DVD next month!
Simon Brew
How's this for a find to get the weekend off to a great start - Howard The Duck is coming to DVD!
Published on Jan 11, 2008
George Lucas might choose to forget about it. You can bet there's little mention of it in the LucasFilm foyer. And short of an old VHS release, there was seemingly no way we'd ever see Howard The Duck again.
But, courtesy of a late night browse at Amazon, and Metrodome, it seems the Duck is coming to DVD after all! Rejoice! And I say that as the person who, er, went to see it twice at the pictures.
The release date is down as 18th February 2008, with a list price of £12.99. And it's, according to the packaging, the uncut version. The lifecycle of DVD is truly complete.
It is, at the time of writing, Amazon UK's 5,131st best selling DVD. So here's the challenge: can we break Howard The Duck into the top 1000?
I'm just off to do my bit. So here's the link, friends, and have a good weekend...!
DVD Description (from Amazon):
Live-action comedy-adventure about a fast-talking, cigar-chomping, beer-loving duck from another dimension who arrives in Cleveland, Ohio and has run-ins with punk rockers, motorcycle mamas, and the powerful overlord, who all make him wish he was back on his own duck planet.
