Brand new red band Predators trailer
Simon Brew
If you had any fears that the forthcoming Predators would tone things down to get a softer rating, then let this latest trailer for the film put your mind at rest…
Published on Jun 24, 2010
The trailers for the forthcoming revival of the Predators franchise have thus far been more about the tease than the action. But with the release of this new international red band trailer for Predators, that's just changed.
For this is the trailer that's not to be watched by those under 16, and is set to be more happily consumed by those looking for a proper, hard-edged Predators, to leave the PG-13 days of Alien Vs Predator long behind.
There's no danger that Predators is getting anything other than an R rating in the States, and this new trailer for the film should give you some idea as to why.
Predators arrives on 8th July.

I'm still struggling to whip up any enthusiasm over this sequel. It looks like a re-telling of the original movie but with a few different iterations of Predator and some hunting animals thrown in for good measure. I want a sequel that advances the overall story, but this doesn't look likely to be doing that if any of the trailers are anything to go by!

I bet that last shot of the multiple targets appearing on that dude are at the end of the movie. Just like in P2 when the human(s) have finally killed the Predator that has been hunting and killing them for the entire movie, they suddenly realise that there are far more than just one. It's a major "oh sh*t!" moment. In the P2 movie Glover was released after being given a trophy - part of the honour code the Predators follow. I don't know if this one will end the same way or if they are all about to attack, but I am interested to find out!

I am constantly reminded how stupid and petty most people are when I read the comments below a Youtube video.

I hope it isn't just a rehash of the first film - there's so many comics and books about predators that they shouldn't really go wrong! Personally, I think they should make batman vs predator (it was a great story!!)

"I am constantly reminded how stupid and petty most people are when I read the comments below a Youtube video." To be fair most people don't post comments under Youtube videos. Not that I'm saying there's anything wrong with posting comments there or anywhere (I do after all. Not hat often on youtube but I see nothing wrong in that.) I just wouldn't see it as expressive of the nature of humanity as a whole.

Oh, and the trailer looks good. I understand the comment that it looks close to the plot of the first film... but I actually don't mind. Not that I wouldn't like to see some advancement too, mind.
