Rachel Weisz lined up for next James Bond film?
Simon Brew
Could Rachel Weisz be taking on villain duties in the 23rd 007 movie?
Published on Mar 30, 2010
We're expecting that we'll be getting quite a lot of news related to the 23rd James Bond film over the coming months, as the pieces are put together in time for the planned shoot at the end of the year. We already know that Daniel Craig is returning as 007, as you would expect, and that Sam Mendes is being lined up to direct.
CinemaBlend, meanwhile, is now reporting that Rachel Weisz could be being lined up to play the Bond girl in the next film.
More than that, in fact - the site reports that she may be in line to play the chief of Quantum. Quantum looks like the modern day S.P.E.C.T.R.E., as it's behind the plots of the Casino Royale and Quantum Of Solace movies, apparently. And if Weisz does play its chief, then she could turn out to the first woman to play the main Bond villain in a film.
All of this is still awaiting confirmation, of course, and we suspect that a few more rumours will be flying around before everything is locked down. But for now, check out the CinemaBlend piece here, which has a few more details on the story.
