The planet's finest current action movie star, Mr Jason Statham, has a new film coming out. In fact, he has quite a few, not least Sylvester Stallone's awesome-looking The Expendables later this year. However, also coming this year is the remake of an old Charles Bronson/Michael Winner flick, The Mechanic.

In it, the man they call The Statham plays a hitman who takes on an apprentice, played by Ben Foster. Statham is naturally looking to retire, and equally naturally, has no chance of doing so.

The film is set for release in the US on 15th December, UK release is to be confirmed.
