W00t!!! AS long as its as good as Predator 2 I'd still class that as a Lazarus style resurrection after the tosh of AVP 1&2

I love how people forget the fact that Predator 2 was absolutely diabolical. If it was made today, the franchise would be dead and buried.

Predators: the first poster

Simon Brew

We’ve got the new poster for Robert Rodriguez’s Predators movie right here…

A quick one, this. Yesterday, we got the first sneak peak trailer of sorts for Robert Rodriguez and Nimrod Antal’s Predators. The film, which is bringing the standalone Predator franchise back to life, is also now set for a UK release date of 11th August it’s been confirmed (it’s arriving in the US on 7th July). The trailer is here in case you missed it.

We’ve also got what looks like the official synopsis in case you’re interested:

PREDATORS, a bold new chapter in the Predator universe, shot under the creative auspices of Robert Rodriguez, stars Adrien Brody as Royce, a mercenary who reluctantly leads a group of elite warriors who come to realise they’ve been brought together on an alien planet... as prey. With the notable exception of a disgraced physician, they are all cold-blooded killers – mercenaries, Yakuza, convicts, death squad members – human “predators” that are now being systemically hunted and eliminated by a new breed of alien predators.

Finally, there’s the reason you’re probably reading this, which is the first poster for the film. It appeared at IMPA, and we’ve got it for you right here.

A full trailer should hopefully follow in the weeks ahead…
