Geek shows and movies on UK TV in the coming week
Gaye Birch
You can start watching Dexter from scratch on UK TV this week, or just enjoy a whole load of interesting movies, including Watchmen...
Published on Mar 11, 2010
Our scouring of the schedules didn't reveal any shows launching for the first time this week, but, in the karmic balance of the cosmic TV timetables, nothing is concluding this week either, and we still have some of our favourite shows to satifisy our telly-loving souls.
There is a repeat airing, though, that may be a blessing for those poor few who might have missed out on the delectably dangerous delights of Dexter, as the FX channel is showing episodes from the very first season of the show, starting on Wednesday, March 17th at 10:00pm. If you've not yet had the the pleasure, now's the time to get introduced. If you have, and don't yet own the boxset, have another look to remind you why you should.
We needn't fret over the the lack of new show starts, though, as there's a really great collection of 80s gems, horror, thrillers, comedy, and oddities on offer on both free and subscription channels coming our way in the next seven days. And April and beyond will be bountiful, indeed.
Now, here are those films showing through the weekend and a smidgen past Sunday. As always, if we missed anything interesting, have a shout in the comments, with our thanks.
Please also note: the ordinal numbers for dates will help you scan through this simple list with your browser's search function. Enter '13th' in your browser's Find box or window to highlight and/or tab through all movies shown on Saturday. Enjoy!
