* Sigourney Weaver has revealed that she's likely to return for James Cameron's Avatar 2. The actress has confirmed that she's spoken to Cameron about the next film, and is almost certain to be back.

* Angelina Jolie may have just killed the chances of Wanted 2 getting made. The actress has passed on returning to the sequel for Universal's surprise 2008 blockbuster, and the studio is reported to have killed the project completely as a result. It did have the option of recasting her role, but it reportedly decided that the planned sequel is dead instead. However, writer Mark Millar suggested that the film will still be going ahead, saying that the character will just have to be written out. More here:

* Paul Greengrass, while undergoing promotional duties for his upcoming film Green Zone, has reaffirmed that he's leaving the Bourne franchise behind, seemingly putting pay to any hope that he may have an about-turn on making Bourne 4. At a junket for the film, he also nixed reports that he'd argued with Universal about the project. More on that here.

* Jason Isaacs has been talking about the final two Harry Potter movies as part of the Green Zone junket too. He's promised a spectacular finish for the franchise with Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, but has revealed his sadness too. He said, "This big franchise goes out in an epic way. But I was always cognizant of the fact that I'd have to pack up my little furry friend of a wig and stick it in a box and say goodbye to the cane. All the joy was tinged with sadness for me." The first Deathly Hallows movie arrives in November.

* Variety is reporting that Kevin Costner and director Kevin Reynolds are uniting for a third time. Given the fractious way that the shoots for Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves and Waterworld ended, we're surprised to hear the news. But they'll be shooting a spy comedy called Learning Italian. No word of when to expect it.
