Kick-Ass: the new red band trailer

Simon Brew

Get another glimpse at the film that’s top of our to-watch list right new: it’s Kick-Ass…

Published on Feb 19, 2010

Here’s the score on Kick-Ass thus far. Two or three of the writers for Den Of Geek have already seen this film, and can’t stop raving about it. I am not one of those people, and that means Kick-Ass is slap-bang at the top of my to-watch list right now. The most we’re officially allowed to tell you about it thus far is pointing you once more in the direction of Duncan’s test screening report for the film. You can find that here.

Anyroad, if you’re still alien to the charms of the film, then perhaps this latest red band – that means you’re not allowed to peek if you’re under 18 – trailer might tip you over the edge. The film arrives in the UK on March 26th. That day, friends, cannot come soon enough…

I must admit I am getting sick of trailers for this movie.... I already want to see the movie but am now getting worried that by the time it opens I will have seen all the funny bits in trailers or will be so hyped up that its bound to be a disappointment....

I have no idea what the hype is about, the girl sounds and looks annoying and embarrasing and the jokes are terrible, when mac lovin jumps and hurts himself? If that was in a Rob Schnider comedy you'd be all calling it idiotic. Which it is.

That last line.... charming. Heh. Very enjoyable. That line "The comic books got it wrong You don't need to have superpowers to be a super hero!" Actually, there are quite a few superheroes without powers in the comics, albeit they're a minority.

I for one don't need to see anymore trailers, but I can personally say that I've convinced at least 5 separate people to watch it based on the two different red band trailers. So while fans don't need to see it, they're really winning over people with them which is sort of the point of a trailer. But yes, I think I'm going to stop watching these trailers so I stop the overexposure.

I'm still excited, but yes I'm also slighly getting fed up with the trailer-overload....Let's it doesn't dissapoint because of my high expectations.

First trailer where Kick-ass himself isn't (as) upstaged by Hit-Girl.
