The Last Airbender: the new trailer

M Night Shyamalan’s take on Avatar: The Last Airbender looks a lot more interesting in this brand new trailer…

Published on Feb 10, 2010

Credit where credit's due: M Night Shyamalan has just ramped up the excitement factor for his incoming The Last Airbender movie. It's due out on August 13th, and this new trailer for the film looks more interesting, more impressive and, bluntly, more worth watching than the earlier promo.

Take a look below and see what you think. Here's hoping that M Night can do the jump from intriguing trailer to cracking movie properly this time...

The film arrives on July 2nd in the US, and August 13th in the UK. Russia gets this one first, with it set to debut on July 1st over there.

Really weird that the film is released earlier in Russia and Germany than in the UK... I really don't understand the release policy at all... Anyway, the trailer looks okayish, but the casting - apart from Aang - seems rather messed up... especially Uncle Iroh and Zuko (the actor who plays Zuko should have played Sokka instead). Nevertheless, I'm still looking forward to this, although there is no way that this will be better than the original, which is to this day one of the best animated series I've ever seen.
