Find out who’s just jumped aboard Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides right here…
Published on Feb 10, 2010
With production set to start in the next few months, the casting jigsaw of the next Pirates Of The Caribbean movie, On Stranger Tides, is slowly being completed. We already know that the likes of Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley won't be on board this time, although as you might expect Johnny Depp will be reprising his role as Captain Jack Sparrow.
Scheduled to join him? It seems that Penelope Cruz may be joining the cast, according to The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision blog. Cruz recently worked with Pirates 4 director Rob Marshall on the film Nine, and her character is, according to the report, "Sparrow's foil and equal in many ways".
Other than that, we know that the story picks up on the hunt for the fountain of youth, and further casting announcements are expected in the next month or two. The film is inked in for release on May 20th 2011.
