Re: New pictures from Neil Marshall’s Centurion*Puts another one on the to watch list* always glad to see anything new from Neil Marshall, sure Doomsday is no masterpiece compared to his other films but it was still a lot of very silly fun. Plus the car chase was fantastic. | |

New pictures from Neil Marshall’s Centurion
Simon Brew
Neil Marshall’s latest finds a splinter group of Roman soldiers stuck behind enemy lines. It’s Centurion. And we’ve got pictures from it…
As one of the finest British film directors currently at work, we have high hopes for Centurion. Dog Soliders and The Descent, in particular, were both really good films, and while not many of us here warmed to Doomsday particularly, we've been encouraged by the rumblings that have been coming from his next project, Centurion.
Just take a look at these new pictures to see what we mean. This isn't a man working with a Zack Snyder-esque budget here, but early signs are he's visually punched significantly above his financial weight.
Marshall's assembled an interesting cast, too, with Michael Fassbender, Dominic West, Noel Clarke and David Morrissey all lining up for action. The film itself arrives on 23rd April. And as soon as we have a trailer, we'll let you know.
For now, here are those pictures...
