My Name Is Bruce 2! Bruce vs Frankenstein!
Simon Brew
Who needs a more complicated headline than that? Bruce Campbell is apparently lining up a sequel to his 2007 film My Name Is Bruce. And he’ll be fighting Frankenstein in it.

One of the most disappointing side effects of Sam Raimi's decision to walk away from the Spider-Man franchise is that he's likely to take the Bruce Campbell cameo with him. Unless new Spidey helmer decides that it's imperative to include Campbell somewhere, as he rightly should, we suspect that the great man's days in the world of Peter Parker are numbered.
But in the spirit of every cloud having a silver lining, let's bring you some happy news instead. And that's that Campbell has announced his making a sequel to his 2007 film My Name Is Bruce. We dearly hoped that he'd call it My Name Is Bruce 2: Electric Booglaloo, but we realise we can't get every wish in life coming true.
Still, his choice of name isn't bad. Bruce Vs Frankenstein is the current title for the project, which goes before the cameras after the summer. In an e-mail to AintItCoolNews, Campbell said: "I officially announce Bruce Vs. Frankenstein, the sequel to My Name is Bruce. Principal photography begins this fall in Oregon. I'd like to live long enough to see the cameras roll, so please, for the love of God, do not tell anyone.
The original My Name Is Bruce wasn't a great movie, but heck, we enjoyed it. Roll on Bruce Vs Frankenstein, which for DOG writer Duncan Bowles we suspect has now shot to the top of his must-watch list...
