Twilight: Breaking Dawn to film this year

As post-production work continues on Twilight: Eclipse under the watchful eye of director David Slade, the wheels continue to move into motion on the film of the fourth and final book in the franchise, Breaking Dawn.
According to a fresh interview in the Los Angeles Times with producer Wyck Godfrey, the current plan is to get Breaking Dawn before the cameras towards the end of the year. Shooting is set to take place in Vancouver, and Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are all on board.
What's less clear is who is going to be directing the film. We wouldn't rule out the return of New Moon director Chris Weitz (even though we suspect that if he was returning, we'd have heard about it by now), although there seems little chance that David Slade will be asked back. However, Godfrey has revealed that a decision hasn't been made over who is helming Breaking Dawn yet.
There's no decision either on whether Breaking Dawn will be one film or two, although a decision on that will have to be made shortly. But the signs are pointing towards a release for Breaking Dawn in November 2011, and we'd wager they'll go with the two-film split, with the final Twilight movie arriving in the summer of 2012. Where Spider-Man, Star Trek 2 and Wolverine 2 are now setting up camp...
