A good trailer is one that makes you ache to see the film it’s promoting as soon as possible. Iron Man 2? It’s a very good trailer…

"I've successfully privatised world peace."
How's this for a pre-Christmas treat? Marvel and Paramount Pictures have, as promised, released into the world the very first trailer for next summer's Iron Man 2. It's gone live over at Apple - we don't think we can put it here for you just yet - and it's a solid example in how to put a trailer together.
In it, we get Downey Jr flexing his comedy muscles ("you complete me!"), and refusing to send his Iron Man suit over to the government. And then the sinister movie kicks in, as we get the origins of Whiplash (Mickey Rourke) falling into place, before we then get - yes, yes, yes! - our first glimpse of War Machine.
Can we be the umpteenth to say that Iron Man 2 looks amazing?
It's arriving on May 7th 2010, and you can find the trailer here.
