Re: Scott Pilgrim Vs The World: new imageCannot wait for this. Good news is the film will have a completely different ending to the yet-to-be-released book 6.
Re: Scott Pilgrim Vs The World: new imageVery excited about this. The cast certainly look the part!
Re: Scott Pilgrim Vs The World: new imageI am not excited. Scott Pilgrim and Michael Cera's single character are irreconcilable in my mind. It's like if they cast Harrison Ford to play the main character from A Serious Man. It just doesn't make sense.
Re: Scott Pilgrim Vs The World: new imageWe-ell, he's actually been posting screens from the movie for some time now (http://www.flickr.com/photos/edgarwright/4008424617/), even if a lot of them are close-ups of eyes (granted, on Flickr, you have to dig through a million Shauns to get to some of them - it's a bit easier at www.edgarwrighthere.com).
Re: Scott Pilgrim Vs The World: new image@gudge1 I already anticipate the glorious arguments over which ending is the better one! |

Scott Pilgrim Vs The World: new image
Simon Brew
Catch a look at a picture from Edgar Wright’s next film, Scott Pilgrim Vs The World…
One of the factors about writing some of the stories for this site in London is that we occasionally see famous people on our travels. We never talk to them, of course, given our inherent, er, shyness. For instance, we saw Baldrick himself, Tony Robinson, being filmed getting out of taxi on Monday. And the number of recent sightings of Edgar Wright in our area (Simon Pegg too, whom we now know gets his bacon sandwich at the shop round the corner from us) are high, given that he's working away in London at the moment putting Scott Pilgrim Vs The World together.
And given how much we liked, as you'd hope and expect, Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz, Wright's latest film is one we're very much looking forward to. It's based on the graphic novel by Bryan Lee O'Malley, and the film will see Michael Cera having to fight and defeat the seven ex-boyfriends of Mary Elizabeth Winstead to try and win the heart of his dream lady.
The film also stars Chris Evans, Brandon Routh (that's one tough ex-boyfriend to beat), Kieran Culkin, Jason Schwartzman and Anna Kendrick, and currently has a 2010 release date attached. But nothing more specific than that.
Still, things seem to be coming along, as on his blog, Edgar Wright has posted the first picture from the film on his Flickr page. And that's the picture you can see over there. Hurray.
You can see it at its source here, and we'll keep you posted on Scott Pilgrim as more news emerges. Meanwhile, if we see Edgar Wright again, we'll make sure to giggle nervously and fail to go up to him to say hello.
